We never know what is going on in the life of someone else.
That crazy driver? She is rushing to get to work. With two kids she raises alone, she has to go to school before work. One more time late and she will be fired.
That man taking too long at the grocery store line? He is a veteran who was injured in combat. Every move shots pain into his body.
That girl who laughs too loud? She cuts at home, hating herself. Her laugh is a fake in hopes that no one notices her pain.
Someone told me yesterday that I was “evil” simply for doing my job. They didn’t know me or my story. They didn’t know how that word has haunted me for years.
But they should have known better. No one should assume that a person is evil, ugly, vile, or lazy without knowing them well. Please try not to assume things.
You never know the other side until you ask.
