I recently received a beautiful comment on this blog. An anonymous support person wrote a letter that was much more powerful than anything I could write trying to understand that point of view. Thus, I wanted to share this letter from a family member or friend of a person struggling with mental illness. Hopefully, it will touch you as much as it impacted me.

Plus, if you ever have something that you want to bring to my attention or think that I should share, let me know in a comment. I cannot promise to always blog it. However, know that I am open to hearing your voice and what you would like to see more of on this blog.

However, do such diets as advertised really work? No, not for the most part. There are certainly exceptions, but fad diets tend to be backed by poor scientific research and have no lasting results. In fact, these programs designed to make us healthy often backfire and cause discomfort, further medical issues or eating disorders.

Anna Rose and the Wonderful, Busy, Totally Good Day

Little muddy boy yelling happily in the rain

Some days are just great. Mario seems to be yelling that.

Activities crammed into this day, but I am left feeling very blessed and refreshed. Sure, exhaustion has crept in by now. However, my overall mood has risen throughout the day instead of sunken.

First of all, I had three doctor appointments. All were uneventful although a bit nerve-wracking. Most difficult mentally and emotionally, my bone scan to look for osteoporosis happened. It ended up being far less frightening or overwhelming than I had expected. The result still seems momentous. That will simply need to be addressed when I have the information.
